Chevrolet Repair: 1998 s-10 brake lights, turn signal switch, distribution problem

my brake lights will not turn off. the high mount 3rd light works fine but the 2 lights at the rear of the truck will not go off. i have to pull the fuse to get them to shut off.

Hey,

 Sounds like a short or a defective multi function switch.  YOu need to trace the power distribution problem right to the turn signal switch.  Brake power comes off the brake switch, through the multi switch and then off to the rear lights.
