Chevrolet Repair: no spark, crankshaft position sensor, chevy corsica

Question
I have a 95 Chevy Corsica 2.2 liter engine. I was driving one night and it cut off. Isat there for a while and it cranked up. Drove it a little further and it cut off again. This time it wouldn't crank up. The next morning it cranked, but when iam driving it it may start jerking and cut off
Throught it was the crankshaft position sensor bought one , that wasn't the problem. Two days later it wouldn't crank at all. I checked all four plugs for spark , but there was no spark. Now I think its the Ignition control module. What do you think?

Answer
Hey Hosie,

The spark management system for base spark timing during cranking on a 2.2 liter engine is sentient and does not need input from the PCM to create spark in the waste spark coils mounted to the back of the module.  If the crank sensor resistance is 900-1300ohms it is ok and should create enough AC voltage to trigger the module.  If you have no spark on either coil than its the module.  Highly unlikely two coils would intermittently fail as a pair.
