I was running low on fuel...39 miles left on gauge....all the power went out while I was running at 55 mph. After stopping, I tried to start but...  the truck would turn over like it wanted to start but would not.  I did put 2 more gallons of gas in it, to no avail.  Z71 Model with 60,000 + - miles on it.  Could it be a security problem...I have been using a spare key the last few days. (a key that came with the car)

Hi Jeff... check for fuel at the fuel rail....check pressure....if low or no fuel check fuel filter...does pump come on for 3 seconds when you turn on key. you may have flooded it...hole pedal on floor and try cranking...you probably sucked up some crap from the bottom of fuel tank...maybe water in it as well...try some fuel cond.or inj cleaner... hope this helps
