Chevrolet Repair: 95 Astro Cold Start Issue, chevron techron, top tier gasoline

Question
'95 Astro V6 Auto, 110k miles.

Starts and runs great when warmed up but won't start easily after sitting for
an extended period (overnight, etc.) Not particularly cold or damp weather.
Will start if cranked 3-6 times for several seconds each time with 5-10
seconds between each attempt. Once started runs normally with some
occasional roughness during warm-up cycle.

Answer
By the description you give me I'm about 90% sure that you have a fuel pump problem. It will only get worse until you have to get the vehicle towed. When replacing the fuel pump make sure the updated pulsator is also replaced if equipped with a pulsator.

Fuel systems have been a problem on these vehicle...pumps injectors. GM recommends using Top Tier gasoline only and adding a bottle of Chevron Techron Plus to a full tank of gas every 3,000 miles. Go to www.toptiergas.com for more info.
