Chevrolet Repair: Oil leak, crank shaft, engine cowling

Question
I have a 2000 Chev Astro Van AWD w/ 83,000 miles. On the bottom of the bell housing there is a weep hole where the bell housing meets the oil pan. Engine oil is leaking slightly from the weep hole. I took off the engine cowling and didn't see any leaks from the valve covers or the rear of the intake manifold. Where else could it be leaking from and what is the fix? Thank you

Answer
Hi Tom... that is a rear main seal leak. you will need to remove the trans to get to it. seal is at the rear of the crank shaft....you could try a good engine stop leak if it isn't too bad a leak...lucus engine treatment works not too bad.... hope this helps
