Chevrolet Repair: chev caviler, caviler, p0442

I have a 2001 caviler, today the check engine light came on. I went by advance auto and have them put their tester on it. It came back with the code p0442 what dose that mean ? will it hurt it to drive it for a week?

No it won't hurt you to drive your car for a week with the check engine light on.  the code is for your evaporative emmissions system.  the code stands for EVAP SYSTEM SMALL LEAK DETECTED.  It is possible you left your gas cap slightly loose.  If it is not loose you should take the car into the dealer when you have a chance.
