Chevrolet Repair: 00 Silverado Heater, coolant level, engine coolant

Question
I have a 2000 Silverado and have been trying to use the heater. My problem is that it doesn't heat at all. When I do turn it on, it just blows air. Just wondering if there is anything that I should check before i take it in to a tech. The AC works fine.

Answer
Make sure your engine coolant level is full...look at reservoir. If it's full then the problem is either going to be a clogged heater core that's not letting the hot coolant circulate through it or a problem with the heater hot/cold blend door, staying in cold mode. Is your engine temperature normal when driving ( around 200 degrees)? If not it could also be a bad thermostat.

There has been a problem with heater cores clogging. If I had to guess which I don't like to do, I'd say that's your problem.
