Chevrolet Repair: 1999 Camaro fuel pump replacement, rear axle assembly, camaro v6

Question
All test tell me the fuel pump is bad in a 1999 Camaro V6 automatic with 166k miles. Any shortcuts or advise you can give in replacing the pump. Is there a way to do it without removing the tank, perhaps by rolling the tank over as I have not tackled the job yet and it looks like it is going to be real fun to remove. Thanks

Answer
VERY DIFFICULT!!!!!!!!!  You will need to remove the whole tank.  You need to remove your exhaust system and then lower your rear axle assembly to access the tank enough to pull it out.  I reccommend using a hoist for the job.  I don't think it is possible on the ground.  A shop would charge approx 400$ for installation.
