Chevrolet Repair: 1995 monte carlo z34 minor backfiring, monte carlo z34, 1995 monte carlo z34

Question
i recently replaced the plugs and wires on this 95 z34 monte carlo 150k miles... and at first when i started the car it was fine.. then like 10 min later i went to move it and in idle i would get minor backfiring, not evenly timed or anything.. kinda random times, but almost constantly. I drove it down the road a bit and it felt weak.. if i stomped on the gas it would accelerate pretty weak.. then when idling at about 50-55 mph it would start to shake. so to speak. and act really rough.. no idea wats going on here. any help?

Answer
Hi Dan, You didn't say if this did  the skipping before you replaced the plugs. If it didn't there must be  bad spark plug in there. If it did and you replaced them to repair the skip then i would look at the dis coils or module. I have replaced some dis coils to repair skips on  this engine, but have also done a couple ignition modules.

Hope this helps
