Chevrolet Repair: 700r transmission, input shaft, good luck

Question
Newly rebuilt trans.  Installed could not get fluid through the lines to the cooler.  Unbolted check to see if converter is in wrong.  Felt like it set correctly.  Re installed same problem.  Took trans back out now the converter is stuck in the trans and I can not get it to come loose from the trans.  Help ??????

I am suspecting the pump has a problem.  Probably at the input shaft.  If this shaft has broken or failed in some way, the shaft could jam the converter in the transmission and would produce no pressure.  JUST A THOUGHT.  Tough to tell without seeing the actual problem.
