Chevrolet Repair: 1996 chevy missing, throttle body injection, chevy truck

Question
Hi, I have 1996 Chevy truck 1500 4WD with a 5.7 liter. The engine is missing at normal driving speeds or under a load. During acceleration or pressing the gas while in neutral it is not noticed. A engine check shows misfire of # 3 cylinder. Before that I had replaced plugs, wires, dis. and rotor cap, fuel filter and fuel injectors. After the test I even replaced the wire and plug on #3. I'm at a loss. I would appreciate any input. thanks Cliff

Answer
I would have to say you have an injector problem but you say you already replaced all the injectors. Did you replace all the injectors? This vehicle does have a Central Sequential fuel Injectors correct or does it have throttle body injection.

So if you have good spark, a good injector and a good spark plug there's nothing left but a mechanical problem. Test compression on all cylinders. I'd also do a injector balance test just make sure the new injector is not defective.
