Chevrolet Repair: 2003 chevy Impala, windshield wipers, chevy impala

Hi, i bought a used 2003 chevy impala a couple of months ago, and now for the past 2 weeks it has a strong syrup smell coming inside the car, especially if you smell the passenger vents. Can you please let me know what you think, thanks.

I think you should order some pancakes to go with that syrup.
Just kidding.
There is a passenger side air (cabin) filter that actually clears the air coming into the vehicle. Most people don't know they have them. They are most of the time located underneath the plastic ribbed cover just under the windshield wipers on the outside of the car.
This may be where the smell is coming from.
