Chevrolet Repair: Why does my car stall?, torque converter clutch, upper radiator hose

Question
Hi,
I have a 1995 Cavalier. My problem is I can drive the car approximately 12-15 miles with no problems after that if I have to stop the car stalls. It re-starts immediatley with no problem but as soon as I put it into drive it stalls again. I then have to wait approximatley 10-15 mins before it go into drive without stalling. If you could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Answer
Hi Rebecca, This is  the torque converter clutch staying engaged. You can repair this one yourself!!!!  Open the hood and look down below where the upper radiator hose connects to the radiator at the transmission. You should see a connector there on the tranmission. It is the only connector there. It has the color blue on one end, disconnect this and your all set the drive without stalling again. This will not harm you transmission so no need to worry.

Have a Great Day
