Does the universal joint in the 1996 s-10 Chevy
Blazer have to be machine pressed on and off?

Hello Anita,
I haven't seen one that needs machined.
Some are held in with plastic moulded into some holes and grooves, but that will break, and can be removed after the joint caps are taken out, and replaced with "C"clips.
You can tell if that is what you have by the little plastic tips sticking out of holes in the yoke.
