Chevrolet Repair: Chev Blazer, nutral, steering wheel

Question
Hi Van

I have a 2000 Blazer with the Auto (electric) 4x4 transfer case. I tow this behind my motorhome with the transfere case in nutral with all 4 wheels on the ground. My problem is that in order to unlock the steering wheel I advance the ingnition switch 1 position. In this position the red battery indiator (picture of battery) illuminates. Nothing else in the car seems to be on but the battery is dead after 1+ days of travel. Do you have any idea of what fuses I could remove to prevent this? I thought about disconnecting the battery but didn't feel good about the effect this might have on the computer when done every day......thanks for any help you can offer. Richard

Answer
Hello Richard,
It really wouldn't make any difference which wire you interrupt with the switch, other than you will have some exposed connectors, but as long as you know what they are and don't accidentally short them to ground, all will be fine.
