how do i look up for a 89chevrolet astro van for parts and to put spark plugs wires in the right place

Hello Matthew,
A manual is a great help. If you want to buy one, a Haynes manual is pretty reasonable, from most parts houses.
If you go to the public library, in the refference section, they have all types of manuals, including the regular shop manual from GM.
Your owners manual has an address near the back page where you can order manuals for that vehicle.

If you decide on the library, I like Mitchell manuals, as well as Motors, or Chilton.

You can also go to EBay, and find manuals very reasonably priced.
