Chevrolet Repair: chevrolet Blazer Power Window, safety bolt, chevrolet blazer

I have a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer with a bad driver's door power window motor.  In one of the web sites I have read, it says to install a safety bolt in order to drill out the rivets.  Where EXACTLY do you place the safety bolt on the door, also what is the safest way to remove the window?
