Chevrolet Repair: 97 malibu check engine light, vacuum leaks, vacuum lines

Question
I have a 97 Malibu (V6) with approx. 165k miles. The check engine light has been intermittently flashing for the last couple of years. It would flash on and off for a short period then stay on steady and finally turn off. This past summer it started flashing on and off constantly. The car ran rough and finally was undriveable.  The independant repair shop determined that there was a misfire detected by the on board computer. Also, 5 of the 6 injectors were bad per ohm check. They were all replaced, at considerable expense, and the car ran fine until recently.  It is now back at the shop with the misfire in the no. 2 cyl. The plugs and wires were replaced. The throttle body cleaned and the no.2 cylinder injector inspected and cleaned. Still no fix. The on board computer only brings up the code for No. 2 cylinder misfire detected.  Please help!

Answer
What size V-6 engine ?. 2.4L, 3.3L, 4.0L ??????.

What code(s) number(s) did you get from the computer ?.

What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made as a vacuum line may have been knocked loose or a wire connection came loose, Look around in the area where work was performed..

Most misfires are caused by small vacuum leaks in or near the cylinder, Which in your case is cyl # 2. Are there ANY loose, weak cracked vacuum lines near this # 2 cylinder that may be leking ?.
