Chevrolet Repair: 4x4 differential case, differential case, cheverlot

I would like to know if i can drive my 1997 cheverlot taho to a chev dealer,a bolt snapped in the differential case causing a hole and all the fluid leaked out on the front diff i can see a bolt sticking out at the bottom(looks like a bolt)anyway if i don't use the 4x4 can it be driven to repair shop.i am original owener my wife drives it all the time it was the first time 4x4 was uesd in over a year,she was backing it in the garage when it happened. 1997 chev taho 5.7 motor can you help me

Hello Fred,
Even when it isn't in 4X4, the axle shafts, and some of the internal parts are turning.
Depending on where the bolt came from,(Internal parts?), and how far it is to the dealer.
I suggest hauling, or towing with the front wheels off the ground.
