Chrysler Repair: 1994 Chrysler Concorde (Engine), chrysler concorde, 1994 chrysler concorde

Question
My 94 Chrysler Concorde died. I was on the highway in cruise control doing @ 65 mph and I felt a slight jerk, then as I pulled the car into a gas station, it started knocking and shaking. I got out and saw that it was leaking oil.  It's been a few days and the car still has some oil in it and isn't leaking but it knocks when I try to turn it over. I've heard that it could be a lifter, or rocker maybe or that I've thrown a rod. I've put almost $3000 into this car (more than what I paid for the car itself) so I REALLY can't afford a new engine.  Please help

Answer
Hi Jared,
Try using the ignition key to get fault codes. "on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then count the flashes between each pause that show up on the check engine light. Repeat the process to be sure of an accurate set of flash counts. Then tell me the counts in order of appearance. Also tell me which size (L) engine you have.
