Chrysler Repair: NO BUS, logic circuit, solder connection

Question
yea the wire itself is not connected to anything, its just hanging there in the back of the compartment of the deck. is there anything i can do to loop it or bypass the buswire?

Answer
Hi Jordan,
The digital data bus in the case of the audio system is purely a one-way communication from the pcm to the deck/audio system. If you have nothing connected to that wire it makes absolutely no difference to the rest of the bus and its function. The pcm doesn't care that it is not connected.
The fact that it is not connected has nothing to do with the cluster showing NO BUS. As I explained earlier that 'NO BUS' instead indicates that a separate bus wire that goes to the cluster from the pcm is not getting through to the logic circuit of the cluster. And that is why I have told you to look at the issue as a problem within the cluster itself, probably a loose solder connection. I can't say it any other way...forget the deck, it is not the issue. Just verify the connection from the pcm to the cluster as I earlier described and if that is good then for sure the cluster is the problem
