Chrysler Repair: Dodge g caravan abs light, tone wheel, road dirt

Question
I just changed the pads and rotors on a 2002 gc sport.  ok for a day, then the abs light came on.  The van is running and stopping fine. Its just the light is on.

Answer
Hi John,
There are two things I know of to try. Get a fault code readout of the ABS controller, perhaps for free at an Autozone parts store or at a shop for around $40, to see if there is a fault code specific for the ABS system stored in the memory. The access to the memory is via the normal socket that under the dash next to the steering column.  Second, try cleaning the ABS sensor and tone-wheel with which it interacts on each of the four wheels as build up of road dirt can cause a loss of signal.
