Chrysler Repair: park to neutral safety switch, neutral safety switch, wiring diagrams

I have a 95 sebring with a separate park to neutral switch. Well the tranny went bad so I bought one with the combined switches. A lot of people say I will be able to convert it by cutting the connectors off the wires and outing the combined connector on the cut wires. Will this work?

Can you give me the year/model of the vehicle that the used tranny that you bought came from, and also tell me if you have a sedan or convertible Sebring, and also I assume you have the 2.5 V-6, correct? Since I was unaware of the 'separate' switch aspect, is this a manual or an automatic transmission? I need to study the wiring diagrams so I need all the information about this you have.
