Question
My radiator cooling fans are not working i have had the pcm changed in the last 2 months from another problem . i changed the fan relay switch and have checked the fuse if you jump the fan switch the fans booth come on . if you turn on the ac they will not come on . have any ideas where to start and how to make sure if the pcm could be the problem . thanks bill

Answer
Hi William,
Is this a gasoline or a diesel minivan?
If it is gas: When you say that you jumped the fan switch do you mean by disconnecting the fan plugs and applying 12V directly to the fan motors or by actually jumping the pins at the relay proper? Is your relay behind the front grille? Have you checked the orange/red wire from fuse 27 to pin 1 of the relay? Have you checked the wire from pin 73 of the pcm to the pin 4 of the relay that is routed through the power module (starts out black/dark green, finishes dark blue/violet? Is pin 3 of the relay grounded?
Let me know if it's a diesel model. I have the manual but I need to understand exactly what you have, and what you have done, and what you have verified, to be of help.
