Chrysler Repair: Blower problem in very cold weather, postal mail, xerox copy

Question
I have a 2005 Chrysler T&C van..In below zero weather the blower motor fails to start until it seems like the cab warms up, like it takes 30 minutes running before it will run.  The temp gauge shows heat after just a bit, but blower motor won't take off...I never have this problem in the warmer westher, and this also happened last year when the temp got below zero...can you help

Answer
Hi Tom,
You might check fuse 10 in the power box next to the battery to see if it might have a subtle crack in its conductive wire that causes it to 'open' when it is very cold. And you might similarly try tapping on the blower motor relay nearby to that fuse to see if it is lazy due to the cold. Try switching it out with another relay that has the same part number and is not crucial to starting/running the car and see if that solves the problem and if so replace the relay.
Other than that, it probably means lubricating the bearing of the blower motor. Let me know if you want to try that and I will xerox copy and postal mail you the pages that show how to remove the motor.
