Chrysler Repair: 2.5 L V-6 Block Heater, chrysler cirrus, 1998 chrysler cirrus

Question
Does a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus Lxi have a block heater?  And if so, where is the plug in located so that I can plug it in at night?

Answer
Hi Lianne,
It is an accessory that may have come with the car. It has cord with a plug located behind the radiator grille. The block heater itself is on the side of the engine that faces the firewall, below the exhaust manifold, and it takes the place of normal engine block core plug near the rear of the engine on that back side. So take a look behind the grille and/or behind the engine to see if you see any such electrical cord coming out in those two areas. That is how you would know if the engine came with that accessory.
