Chrysler Repair: Hi beams dont work on 98 Sebring, chrysler sebring, fuse box

Question
Hi, I already asked a question but I forgot to tell you what type of car I have, so, it's a chrysler sebring 1998, I have a problem with the regular driving light, no problem with the low beam but the high beam doesn't work. If you can send me a schematic or a wiring diagram of this system, it will be usefull.

Thanks

Answer
Hi Francis:
If the low beams work, then try the optical horn switch (the spring loaded one that flashes the high beams as long as you press in that position) and see if that works. If it does, then the problem is internal in the switch itself. You might spray some electrical contact cleaner inside the switch to improve the contacts of the high beam position (have the switch in the off position when you do that. If the optical horn switch doesn't cause the high beams to work then either the high beam filaments are both burned out or the fuses to those filaments, #2 and 3 in the underdash fuse box, are blown. The power is getting to the switch as is witnessed by the low beams working, so these are the only possibilities why the high won't work. I assume you have the convertible Sebring, if not let me know and I'll look at the wiring diagrams for the sedan model.

PS Use the "thank/rate" to get back without having to wait for me to be available, and/or to leave a postal mailing address to which I should send the page that shows the circuit. It is not complicated, however, and as explained above there is no other possible explanation.
