Chrysler Repair: downshift transmission issue, chrysler sebring, valve body

Question
As Thomas stated, my 2000 Chrysler Sebring transmission also bucks when the car is decelerating right at the 30mph digit. I have the auto dealer repair shop stumped as well. (I think it may be time to find a new repair shopp!)Any ideas?

Answer
Hi Ann,
Have they done a fault code readout to see if the transmission computer has noted any explanations for this? If not, that should be done.
It could be idle rpm too high, aerated or low trans fluid level, a valve body malfunction, or too high internal fluid pressure, general engine malperformance.
Other than those, the possible causes involve damage to interior parts requiring removal and rebuild most likely. But if you know about fault codes, specifically which numbers, please write back and we can see what the shop manual says to do about those.
