Chrysler Repair: 2000 Sebring - rear side window inoperative, sebring convertible, postal mail

Question
The passenger side rear window on my 2000 Sebring convertible is not working.  I can hear the motor running when I hit the switch, but nothing happens. The lack of operation started with the window only closing part way and escalated to it not moving at all. Any ideas on what could be wrong?  Also, how do I get in there to see what to fix?

Answer
Hi Paul,
That is called the 'quarter window' and it is operated by a "module" that has within it the motor. Probably the mechanical connection between the motor and the window has worn out which most likely requires replacing the module. There are a couple of pages in the manual that show how this is done. You have to remove the trim panel that conceals the module in order to remove it. The most efficient way to share this info is for me to xerox copy and postal mail you those pages. The module is certainly available from Chrysler and there maybe aftermarket rebuilders that you might find by a search.
Use the "thank and rate" tab to provide me with a postal mailing address if you want to do this yourself.
