Chrysler Repair: 98 Chrysler Cirrus:no shift, no speedometer, chrysler cirrus, speed ratios

Question
I went to auto zone and got some codes and it don't look good since I just bought this car.
the codes are...P1698,PO700,PO731,PO715,PO750 tell me what you think I have to do or get rid of it.

Answer
Hi Kelly,
No, I would not give up on it at this point. Begin by verifying that each of these fuses are good (measure electrically or look very carefully for any subtle cracks in the internal wire):
power distribution center under the hood: 3,4,7,16
fuse box under the dash: 4,5,11

The codes tell us that the digital communication from the transcontroller is not being "seen" around the shared data system modules(which could be a fuse, or possibly a bad trans computer but don't jump to that conclusion, or a bad transmission relay {that is the front one in the under hood box, see if you hear it click softly when you turn the igntion switch to run}), that there are incorrect speed ratios between the input and output sensors (but that could be simply a problem with both of those sensors which are not that expensive), and that one of the solenoids in the solenoid box is having a problem. None of these are likely to require rebuilding the transmission.
So see what you find with the fuses and is the relay clicking. Then let me know what you found.
If we can't see it as a simple fuse problem, then I would ask around to find a competent independent transmission shop (NOT a nationwide franchise type shop) that knows the Chrysler electronic transmission and give them a limited permission to diagnose the problem and let you know.
I'll wait to learn what you find.
