Chrysler Repair: 1994 Chrysler LHS: removing engine damper/pulley, 1994 chrysler lhs, damper pulley

Question
How do you pull the pulley (harmonic balancer or the crankshaft pulley?)Is the waterpump located in the same place as the timing belt?

Answer
Hi Vince,
There is a puller (Miller Tool #4524, plus a special tool insert (center bolt) to use with that tool depending upon whether you have the 3.3 or the 3.5L engine:L-4524-1 from kit C-4685-C for the 3.3/C-4685-C2 for the 3.5L) that will remove the damper. The 3.5L water pump does require getting to the timing belt via the damper, the 3.3L is external and does not so require. You may be able to rent a tool to pull the damper instead of buying one.
