Chrysler Repair: T & C van stalls while driving, crankshaft sensor, obd ii

Question
Last year my van would intermittently cut off while driving and the RPMs would register zero. No check engine light.  After going to two auto shops, I finally got it fixed - it was the crankshaft sensor.  It worked fine for a year, but then it started happening again.  The same problems, no check engine light.  Because of the RPMs going down to zero, it was figured that it was the sensor again and it was replaced(under one year warranty).  It worked fine for a week, but the problem is happening again.  It shut down on me three times before it was difficult to restart.  I usually just had to wait a minute then restart, but this last time it took several tries, then it only restarted in neutral.  I'm at a loss at what to do.  It's in the shop again, but they didn't seem to confident on what the problem was either.  Is there something else we should be looking at?

Answer
Hi Danielle,
You didn't mention which year van you have so I am uncertain whether it is an OBD-I or OBD-II system (pre or post '97?) If there are no fault codes showing (rather than a failure to readout any fault code at all) then I would suspect something more basic like the ignition switch, a section of which may have a poor contact so that power to the engine control system is not available. If there is absolutely no check engine light, then the light bulb is probably burned out. It should light up when you turn the key to 'run' as a test for its presence.
Does it stall when you are driving along at a steady speed, or does it stall when you are decelerating to stop or after you have stopped and it doesn't idle?
So let me know more specifically about these questions that I need answered and we can go on from there.
