Chrysler Repair: How to remove BCM from Dodge Grand Caravan, dodge grand caravan, grand caravan

Question
I have an 96 Dodge Grand Caravan ES with erratic wipers, only functioned
when dispensing wiper fluid, now will not operate at all.  Took it to the dealer
who indicated the BCM was bad.  I'm not willing to spend the $1000 just yet
to have it replaced.  I understand that there is a common problem with cold
solder joints on the circuit cards in the BCM.  I know how to solder and
recognize a cold joint so thought I would give it a go.  So, would appreciate
information on where is the BCM located and how is it safely removed for
inspection/repair?
