QUESTION: I am afraid to go to dealer to get the code. I would like to replace a radiator coolant sensor and thermostat, and then I may go to the dealer. Where is the radiator coolant sensor located?
NOTE; I bought a warranty 7yrs/70,000mi. My Intrepid odometer is 71,120mi.

ANSWER: dont go to a dealer then   go to an after market shop if u are gonna pay for it. With out knowing the code  there are oo  500 different things that can turn it on. Does your gauge inside work??  if yes then u don't need  a sensor.

QUESTION: I replaced the thermostat(indicator needle pecked) and disconnected the battery - no more check engine light
I do believe there are two temperature sensors-one for the indicator(I think he is talking about this) and the other sensor for kicking on the radiator fan. I wonder if anybody know where this sensor is located?

Answer
u are going about this the wrong way  u may have turned off the light  but the prob is still there. THERE IS ONLY ONE SENSOR FOR THE TEMP. The fans are controlled by the PCM  and the PCM makes the choice on when to tum them on based off ac pressure engine temp and so on.. U have still not gone and done what i asked the first time and get the code for the check engine light if this is how u work then u dont need my help any more .
