Chrysler Repair: 92 Voyager radiator damaged/power fuse blows., fusible link fuse, amp fuses

Question
2years ago the fuseable link (located near the driver's side spring tower.  It was 20 amp.  I installed a fuse holder instead but  had to use 25 amp fuses instead of 20 amp.  just recently the 25's started blowing and the motor overheated & blew leaks in the plastic tank.  I wonder if the tank can be repaired, & worry about fire if i go to 30 amp fuses.

Answer
Hi Gary,
A radiator shop is the best place to find out whether the radiator manifold can be repaired or not. If not, then you can probably get a replacement for somewhere between $100 and 200. Check out radiators.com for a competitive price, and in any case install it yourself.
On the fusible link/fuse issue. Can you either tell me the color of the fusible that blew OR what circuit/electrical components failed when the fuse blew. What motor overheated and how did it manage to blow a leak in the radiator manifold (what exploded)? I think the problem is not solved by increasing the fuse size but rather by determining what component/circuit is overloading the fuse and what to do to eliminate the excessive current draw. So if you can identify what stops working when the fuse blows let me know and I can tell you how to find the cause and correct it.
