Chrysler Repair: Sebring runs poorly after crank pulley changed, crank pulley, chrysler sebring

Question
I have 2001 chrysler sebring I just replaced the crank pulley of the car because it was no good. my car was running fine before but as soon as the new pulley was put in the rpm moves by itself and and the car tries to accelarate itself. Plus it if I dont give it gas it turns off can anyone give some tips

Answer
Hi Josue,
I don't see any obvious relation between the crank pulley (dampfer) and any functioning of the timing of the engine. Do you know what all was done other that removing it from the end of the crankshaft? You also didn't tell me which engine you have in the car. Is there any possibility that the timing belt was disurbed in the process?
In the meantime, why not do a code readout on the memory of the engine controller to look for any fault codes that might have been recognized and stored there? You can often get a free readout from an Autozone store. Get the code numbers and what they say they mean, then write me back and we'll see if those might explain what is wrong.
