Chrysler Repair: Rear blower motor resistor location: 01 T&C, blower motor resistor, manual states

Question
I changed the FRONT blower motor resistor in my 2001 Town &
Country yesterday. It was located behind the glove box. No
problem. However, I need to also change the rear one. It too just
blows when the dial is on high. Can you tell me where I would find
the part for the REAR.

Answer
Hi Cherry,
My '98 service manual states that "the rear blower resistor is not serviceable separately and is integral to the blower motor. If the resistor is faulty it is necessary to replace the complete blower motor." The wiring diagrams show  there to be two motors in the unit along with a resistor and second resistor associated with a high temp switch. It may be that if you can get inside the unit you and can identify the resistor ohmmage and power handling capacity that you might be able to buy it at an electronics supply store and solder in place yourself. The unit appear to have 6 wires and the blower is controlled both from the front and from the rear as you choose. I can't be certain this is the case for your '01 but chances are it is.
