Chrysler Repair: air cond, clutch, dodge grand caravan, air cond

1995 dodge grand caravan. I get power to the air cond clutch, I can feel it magnatize by putting a screwdriver against the front cover plate but it won't engage.
Is there anyway I can clean it out without removal or lubricate it to get it to start operating again?

Answer
You might be able to remove the nut on the front, pull out a shim or two and reinstall.  The clutch will eventually wear out completely but you might be able to put on a free band-aid and get another few months of service from it.  If there are no shims left you'll need a compressor or clutch depending on which route you want to go.
