Chrysler Repair: Power steering pump, power steering pump, noise problem

2002 T&C LXI 3.8 v-6 73000 miles. I am having a lot of power steering noise when turning the steering wheel but also some while not. There was a TSB out to change one of the hoses and that has been completed and the noise stopped for about two days before it started back up again. Could it be something other than the pump itself. Thanks for any info you may have.

I am not up to date on the 2002 situation, but in the case of my '89 there was also a hissing noise problem that prompted a TSB or two. (I happen to own the '89 TSB's and there were about 5 issued for this area of the vehicle in that year). In that case it was either the steering column lower coupling or coupling seal or a hose that was at fault. So I would go back to the dealer and tell them that the issue hasn't been corrected and to please ascertain whether other TSB's have been issued on this problem. If you can't get a satisfactory answer (for example, ask to be allowed to look at the TSB books for 2002 thru current), then try the regional service rep, and maybe go further to Detroit for some satisfaction.
