Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1972 buick skylark custom convertiblet, 1972 buick skylark, burglar alarm system

Question
The 1972 buick skylark custom convertible has a small round hole, the sieze of a quarter on the drivers side front fender just above the marker light to the left, this hole looks like it was from factory, I was woundering if this hole was for some kind of lock out system like the old corvets use to have on there fender, where they needed a key to actavate the system. Thank you for your help John.

Answer
I do not think that this is a factory hole. It sound like the hole that we used to drill in cars when we installed a burglar alarm system that needed a key to activate and disarm it. That was a favovorite place on GM cars as it was easy to wire there.
