Classic/Antique Car Repair: cleaning gas tank, suicide doors, lincoln continental

Question
I was just given a 1966, I think, Lincoln Continental with suicide doors and reverse hood. It had been sitting for years. The engine looks good and was told it ran when it was stored on my friend's property. I need to clean the gas tank and do not know what or how to do it. would you please explain it to me?

Answer
Hi Chris:
You have a very nice automobile. Since it has been sitting for years, I would take special care in bringing it back to life. when you plan to let an automobile sit for more than six months, it should be put up in dry storage. I'm guesting this one was not. Therefore, I suggest changing ALL the fluids in the car (including gas). Change oil, transmission, anti-freeze gas. There is the plug under the gas tank that will allow you to drain the gas out. Once she is running, change power steering and brake fluids, and have her lube.
