Classic/Antique Car Repair: Model A Breaks, good luck jack, hydraulic brakes

Question
What can I change to make the wear on the front break linings more uniform?
The shoes/linings were replaced and the drums turned about 3000 miles ago on my '31 A. Now the rear lining on the front right wheel is worn to the rivet head at the center rivets.  The front lining shows very little wear. The linings on the front left wheel appear to be evenly worn with little wear.

Answer
I have never seen this kind of wear.  Sounds extreme.  Bottom line, if they are stopping well, replace the lining on that shoe and keep going.
Now if you want to make things perfect !!!!.
Put new roller tracks in.  They wear very fast, and if you changed them 3000 miles ago, they probably need it again.
Put all new lining on the shoes and grind them to the exact diameter of the drum.  I assume you did this 3000 miles ago.
Make sure the brake lever where the rod attaches is properly positioned, leaning forward.  If not, fix it with some brake pills.
Then start fighting it until you get them like you want them.  Adjusting those brakes is a long job.  The more you play with them, it seems they get worse.  The Model is supposed to be a rear skid system, where todays modern cars are front skid.
I would stick with the original type brakes.  Get them working well and they will stop you car pretty well.  I am not in favor of hydraulic brakes for a lot of reasons.
Get all 4 wheels off the ground and start from there.  Better look at your rear brakes also.
check the bushings and tracks.  You should get a lot out of the rr brakes during a stop.  Maybe your right front is doing all the work.
The rear shoe on the right front is the primary shoe and it is supposed to do most of the work for a forward stop.  At least the correct shoe is doing the wearing.
I don't know what else to tell you except be patient and expect a long fight to get them right.
When you do get them pretty good,  LEAVE THEM ALONE.

Good luck
