Classic/Antique Car Repair: 64 Rambler 195.6 Firing Order, rambler classic, correct hole

Hi, I have a 1964 Rambler Classic w/ a 195.6 Inline 6 cyl. I need to know where the #1 cyl plug wire goes on the distributor cap so I can install the plug wires correctly.

The firing order is 153624. As to which hole in the cap that #1 goes in to be correct I would suggest that you remove the spark plug from number one cylinder. Then remove the primary wire from the coil. Next [place your thumb over number one spark plug hole and have some one bump the starter. When you feel compression against your thumb that is when # 1 is coming up on its firing position. Remove the distributor cap and the rotor will be pointing at the correct hole to put the number 1 wire in.
