Dodge Repair: 4wd light, dodge ram 2500, rough streets

Hi, on my 2001 dodge ram 2500 the 4wd lights flickers when i go thru any rough streets.  it keeps coming on and off when i don't have the the 4wd on. please advise.  could it be a sensor?

It is possible that the 4WD switch on the transfer case or the related wiring is at fault. I would lean towards the latter. Inspect the wiring harness that comes up to the engine compartment from the transfer case for any bare wires that is rubbing against metal. The 4WD switch is a simple grounding switch that sends its signal to the cluster through the ABS controller, if equipped, to turn on the light.
