QuestionI have a blower motor on our 96 Caravan, 2.4L that works when it wants to. When I start the van up it sometimes works/doesnt work. I can smack the dash just above the fan speed knob and on occasion it will start, others it wont. When it does work, it works at all speeds. Winter is here and the wife is cold on occasion. HELP!
Answerpossible blower motor itself is bad 3 screws and its out.
BLOWER MOTOR AND WHEEL ASSEMBLY
REMOVAL
Remove glove box. Refer to Body
Remove blower motor cover Blower Motor Cover
Disconnect blower motor wiring.
Remove grommet for wiring Wiring Grommet Feed wiring through blower housing Feeding Wiring Through Housing
Remove mounting screws for blower motor Blower Motor Screws
Allow the blower assembly to drop down, and remove assembly from vehicle.
INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse the above procedures.
