Dodge Repair: Starter, power distribution panel, plymouth voyager

Question
QUESTION: I have a 96 Plymouth Voyager with a 3.0 Six.  I started having trouble with the starter engaging. However I parked it at home and noticed that after turning the car off the starter engaged and wouldn't stop. The selenoid didn't engage just the starter was turning.  I had to remove the negative battery terminal to disengage it. I tried removing the starter relay in the power distribution panel but that didn't stop the motor. What could be the problem. I'm thinking that it could be the ignition switch, but i'm not sure. any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

ANSWER: u have a short on the starter solenoid side  the ign switch gives power to the relay   if u remove the relay  then u just took out of the ckt the ign switch.

QUESTION: I know that the starter is shot, so I will replace that.  You're recommending that I replace the starter switch on the steering column ?  I will probably replace the fuse relay switch in the power distribution panel also. Just as a precaution.

Answer
reread what i said    when u removed the relay u took out the ign tgi switch as being an issue    I said u have a short to ground on the wire from the starter to the fuse block    a fuse wont fix this   and fyi there is no such thing as a fuse relay switch
