Dodge Repair: Spark knock 1998 1500 w/5.9, 360, powertrain control module pcm, powertrain control module

Question
I have a 1500 with a 5.9 that has had a spark knock for some time I have tried better fuels no drastic change. I have found out that the timing is non adjustable (prior to attempting adjustment)does this system use a knock sensor if so could this be the problem? Also is there any factory publications on this with a correction?
