Dodge Repair: 96 Ram AC condensor leaks, dodge ram 1500, ac condensor

Question
QUESTION: I have a 96 dodge ram 1500 that leaks on the passenger floor.I reviewed your previous answers and blew out the drain tube at the firewall. I feel cold air coming out and it does drip out of there but it also drips on the passenger side. It doesn't drip on the carpet, it comes from under the rubber mat thats under the carpet. It's not the heater core, because I bypassed the hoses at the firewall.

ANSWER: I dont usually see rams with the water flowing back into teh cabin  If u sit still at idle  with the ac on does it drain onto the ground out not?I live in the Atlanta area I would be glad to look at it for u.

SUBJECT: Water Leaks From HVAC Floor Outlet Onto Floor
DATE: Aug. 2, 1996
NOTE: THIS BULLETIN APPLIES ONLY TO VEHICLES ASSEMBLED BETWEEN FEBRUARY 1, 1996 AND JUNE 28, 1996 (MDH 02-01-XX THROUGH MDH 06-28-XX) AND ASSEMBLED IN MEXICO. VEHICLES ASSEMBLED IN MEXICO HAVE A "3" AS THE FIRST DIGIT OF THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN). VEHICLES ASSEMBLED AFTER JUNE 28, 1996 HAVE REVISED HVAC ASSEMBLIES AND CAN BE IDENTIFIED BY A CIRCULAR WHITE TAG LOCATED NEAR THE BLOWER MOTOR. THIS TAG WILL HAVE THE HVAC ASSEMBLY PLANT INSPECTORS INITIALS ON IT.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Water may drain out of the driver or passenger side HVAC floor outlet while operating the A/C system.

DIAGNOSIS:
Start the vehicle and operate the A/C system in Fresh Air mode and at High blower fan speed until moisture/condensate is seen coming from the HVAC drain tube. The drain tube is located directly behind the refrigerant accumulator. Drive the vehicle and make several sharp turns at low speeds and inspect for any signs of moisture/condensate coming from the floor outlet. If there are signs of moisture/condensate coming from the floor outlet or the surrounding carpet feels wet, perform the Repair Procedure.

NOTE: THIS BULLETIN DOES NOT REPAIR A RESTRICTED HVAC DRAIN TUBE. IF THERE ARE ANY SIGNS OF MOISTURE/CONDENSATE COMING FROM THE FLOOR OUTLET, BUT MOISTURE DOES NOT COME OUT OF THE DRAIN TUBE, REPAIR HVAC HOUSING FOR A RESTRICTED DRAIN TUBE.
