Dodge Repair: Turn Signals-Dodge Caravan-2005, left turn signal, dodge caravan

My Caravan turn signals only work "part time".  If I turn on the right "blinker" the left turn signal blinks. If I turn on my bright lights first, then the turn signal works sometimes. This has been going on for over a week now.  Some days are better than others and of course the signals do not work as well at night!   
My right side sun shade/visor broke and some wires are showing so I am wondering if all this is connected.    
I will be making an apointment at the dealership to get this fixed next week but I wanted to know why this has happened.  It started "suddenly" when I went to use my turn signals on 9/13/06.

Hi,
There are a lot of things that can cause this problem.  Unless you know a little about auto electrical systems it would be pretty hard to repair yourself.  There is deffanetly a short in your wiring.  You would have to get a wiring schematic and trace down the wires by color codes.
