Dodge Repair: 1500 ram clutch fan 2000, clutch fan, gasoline engines

cant get the old fan separated from the pump housing...help

Don,
I know your probably fed up with your truck right now,
but when you ask a question, I need Engine info.
some fans come off clockwise and some are conter clockwise.
Please tell me the year, and what engine you have.
OR
send me your V.I.N and I can access ALL info on your truck.
HOWEVER
Most Gasoline engines have a normal right hand thread on that huge nut between the fan and waterpump.
(backyard method) a hammer and a large punch with one
quick blow in left direction will usually break it free.
Then you can spin it off by hand.
